Course Description
| Allegro AMS Simulator Advanced Analysis |
Date: from 22 Oct 2007 to 24 Oct 2007 3 day(s)
English Bracknell, UK
This is an Engineer Explorer class that is designed around more advanced topics and exploration of the tool. This training material is intended to introduce users to the Advanced Analysis features of Allegro AMS Simulator.
The AMS Simulator Advanced Analysis class is a three-day course that focuses on library and design analysis-related issues of concern to the advanced user.
This course does teach some basic tool operations. It is suggested that students who are not actively using this tool first complete the Allegro AMS Simulator course.
In this course you will learn to:
* Use Advanced Analysis part libraries and their associated model libraries.
* Configure and run Sensitivity, Monte Carlo, Optimizer, and Smoke (Stress) analyses.
* Use local and global tolerances.
* Use Measurements to evaluate the circuit`s response.
* Analyze a circuit for Sensitivity/Worst Case analysis.
* Run Monte Carlo analysis using standard distributions.
* Run optimization to meet performance goals.
* Run Stress analysis using Smoke.
Day 1
* Overview
* Creating DE HDL Parts for Simulation Models
* Creating Diode Based Models
* Buck Regulator Modeling
Day 2
* Magnetic Core Modeling
* Advanced Analysis Parts and Models
* Creating Diode Based Models
* Sensitivity Analysis
* Optimizer
Day 3
* Monte Carlo Analysis
* Smoke (Stress) Analysis
* Flyback Sensitivity Analysis
* Optimizer Curve Fitting
Special Notes
* This course requires Allegro Design Entry HDL and the Allegro AMS Simulator software.
* Analog Designers
* Electrical Engineers
The student must have completed the following BEFORE taking this CLASS:
* Allegro AMS Simulator
You must be familiar with creating a schematic using Allegro Design Entry HDL. You must also be proficient with using Windows and standard Windows applications.
Cadence staff is responsible for customer training, many instructors have advanced degrees in either education or engineering as well as practical knowledge of the software and curriculum development. Technical Service Engineers also teach classes and draw on their experience by helping designers in the field.
