October 2009

COMS (Commercialization Of Micro-Nano Systems) is the leading annual conference on micro- and nanotechnology commercialization and education. The COMS conference is not just about the science (like so many other Micro/Nano conferences) but also about how to harness research and theory and turn them into commercial products.

EuroTraining gave two presentations during COMS09, read these presentations: ET Survey on Microsystems Curricula, Eurotraining survey on Microsytems training requirements

July 2009

EuroTraining added a Qualified Bank of Internet Links (QBIL). The aim of QBIL is to provide assistance for the users to find a course with proper contents, suitable level and quality.
The study of the available Internet courses resulted in the definition of the qualification and selection criteria. More than 80 Internet based courses are listed, and presented with a one-page summary table, which contains the most important features of the course. Read the entire document over here

The ultimate goal of the EuroTraining Project is to enhance European industrial competitiveness in the global marketplace mainly by providing easy access to European training courses and by stimulating the development of new courses in the field of micro- and nanoelectronics. Training and university education roadmaps are being developed to support these activities. The nanoelectronics training roadmap will reach conclusions from the analyses of the needs of industry with a special focus on SMEs; of EU's new Member States; and of the broader public.

October 2008

Dear Sir/Madam,
As a partner in the EC project EuroTraining Nano in the 7th Frame Program, we intend to reveal industrial needs about the (post-academic) training of workforce in the very wide and perspective field of nanoelectronics.
We would like to ask your company's opinion about the trainig needs at the interdisciplinary field of nanoelectronics that might require its extension towards nanoscience and nanotechnology as well. Please find below a plan of an awareness course, whose aim is to raise the attention of engineers and update their knowledge of nanoelectronics.

December 2007

EuroTraining is happy to announce that the project has got support from the ICT programme under FP7 for a three year continuation with a stronger focus on stimulating the development of new courses supporting the CMOS technology targeting digital components and complex digital SoCs ("More Moore"); to master diversification targeting non-digital applications, heterogeneous integration in SoCs or SiPs ("More than Moore") and to prepare for the technology generation beyond the CMOS scaling limits ("beyond CMOS"). This will be supported by the development of e.g. nanoelectronics training roadmaps and the provision of training material for graduate schools. You may read our newsletter here.
